On Thursday 7th March, the School Celebrated World Book Day with a ‘Supertato’ theme. All the children
Thank you so much for making it so wonderful with the creative costumes. We had a larger array of characters than ever before. Gangster Granny made many a grand entrance, as did superheroes. You would be forgiven for mistaking our school for Hogwarts as the ever popular Harry Potter series also inspired many pupils (and teachers).
In the morning, we celebrated with a whole school fashion show to parade our wonderful costumes… Mr Wingfield owned the catwalk as Private Peaceful!
Then, lessons proved to be equally exciting as w=the children all produced potatoes which resembled their favourite book characters. Gracie (Year 1) said, “Doing my potato was my favourite thing. I did a superhero one.” We had everything from ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ to ‘Cat in the Hat’ and the children relished and excelled in the creative opportunity.
Enjoy spending your book voucher and celebrating books throughout the year.
